HOOPTY DISC GAME RULES

The games rules of HOOPTY DISC are straightforward. Players earn points by hitting or throwing a glowing disc through light-up hoops. Players can also earn extra points by catching the missed throws of the opposing team. While the rules keep the game fair and exciting, the most important rule of HOOPTY DISC is simple: have fun and ignite your night.

 

  • Hit the Hoop Rule – Score 1 Point

Throw the disc, and if the disc contacts the glowing hoop, that player scores 1 (one) point. Whether it’s a graze or a solid hit, if the disc touches the hoop, it counts. The hoop will then ignite in a sparkling white light show and your scoreboard will receive 1 (one) point.

  • Clean Pass Through Rule – Score 3 Points

Throw the disc, and if the disc passes through the hoop without contacting the hoop, that player scores 3 (three) points. The hoop will then ignite in a fiery red, orange, and yellow light show and your scoreboard will receive 3 (three) points.  

 

  • Catch Rule – Score 1 Point

If an opposing player’s throw misses the hoop completely, you have a chance to turn defense into offense. If you catch their missed throw from anywhere behind the hoop, even on the sides of the hoop, you earn 1 (one) point. But it must be a clean catch. The opposing team will then confirm your catch and tap their hoop to add 1 (one) point onto your scoreboard.

 

  • First to Score 21 Wins

Gameplay continues back and forth until one player or team reaches 21 (twenty-one) points. Once the scoreboard reaches 21 (twenty-one), the winning hoop will burst into a victory light show of fiery red, orange, and yellow, and concludes with a sparkling rainbow light show, which signals the end of the game. The losing hoop will flash red 3 (three) times. Both hoops will instantly reset and you’re ready to play your next round.
